Commission Meeting Videos - Older Meetings
They move their meeting videos from their YouTube channel playlists. They are currently on the LIVE tab, but they may not remain..

The City of Springfield's Facebook page where they publish the biweekly City Commission meetings has removed all meetings prior to Vance's September post on X that Trump ran with in his debate.
The City of Springfield's YouTube channel's Playlists has removed all videos prior to August 2024.
In my opinion, this is new - they haven't been removing them for months, but February 2026 TPS end is coming, so it's time to HIDE everything related to last Fall 2024 national spotlight. Data is frowned upon. It is not kept, referred to, or allowed to be accessed or disclosed to citizens. They don't want anyone to see that the Haitian influx disaster for the city was discussed LONG before Vance's X post. The videos were removed so nobody could see that.
The City of Springfield's YouTube channel's LIVE tab currently has meeting videos that go back several years.
There are many snippets online, though, because they were used by folks to show our reality. Folks = non-residents of Springfield. All comments, social media accounts, etc., have been blocked for many residents. I think they're scared of the bullies who defend the narrative that everything is fine, Haitians = good, Citizens = bad.
According to the City Clerk: The retention period for social media is 1 year according to our retention schedule approved by the Ohio Historical Society - State Archives and the Auditor of State. If you need a particular meeting video, you will have to do a public records request as it will have to be pulled from Archive Social (some outsourced gig in Durham, NC - at least it's in the country), if it is still available. All social media and corresponding videos are archived through them.
My argument, of course, is that meetings are public record, not "social media" posts. They should always be made and kept public.
But the town's modus operandi is to HIDE everything, because there is so much to hide.
At the end of 2025, they are available on the YouTube channel's LIVE tab here: https://www.youtube.com/@GATVSpringfield5/streams
