Future IQ and Project 2051
The City of Springfield and the usual group of nonprofit suspects have kicked off a Project 2051 initiative by hiring Future IQ, a private company out of Australia. You can't make it make sense, so don't even try.

There's no way to sell this, but they don't even have to.
Surveys and Surveys and More Surveys and Money. Lots of Money.
In the May 6, 2025, City Commission meeting, they kicked off a Community Needs Survey related to the 5-year HUD Consolidation Plan. A requirement of the Plan is to have community participation. Read the Community Needs Survey post for interesting information on this. Hint: They needed to outsource this and amend the contract because neither the City (Logan Cobbs) nor the Company (Grow America) they outsourced it to realized they had to do a Needs Survey. Renewable, but just for this task, $207K.)
(Also in that Community Needs Survey post is the saga around a 2024 Community Survey. Heck signed the agreement with ETC Institute for $16,000 to mail out 400 surveys. The results were published in December 2024. )
So, two surveys within 7 months. I am assuming they at least had different questions on them (different purposes), but why was a survey necessary in 2024, knowing you had another one (two, really) coming in 7 months.
And then, later in the same May 6th, 2025, Commission meeting, they unanimously voted yes to "donate" $50,000 to The Springfield Foundation to pay Future IQ (consultant) for the Project 2051 project.
Two surveys in one meeting costing us $257,000!!
When asked to explain a bit about Project 2051, Heck said that its goal is to create marketing materials for what we want the town to be, showing that even he's confused about it. And that, as usual, he has no idea where OUR money goes.
Since May, Heck has repeated many times that Project 2051 is not a City project. But he's had the Future IQ owner and Marta Wojcik, the Westcott House Director who's leading Project 2051 (why she's involved, I don't know - money to burn?) speak and do presentations at the Commission meetings, provided facilities for and used the City's website and social media/email accounts to announce public events specific to the project.
So other than paying for it, marketing it, devoting meeting time to it, and allocating city employee time to it, the City isn't involved.
What is Project 2051
They call this a citizen coalition (citizens aren't doing this, it's the Usual Suspects of nonprofits (Sponsors below)) to talk about what everyone wants Springfield to look like in 2051.
This is totally Marta and David Beurle. I'm convinced there's some sort of relationship there. They know each other from somewhere or maybe they really know each other. A gal from Springfield, Ohio, doesn't just arbitrarily connect with a dude from Australia with no business.
The Ohio Register published a perfect article, entitled Survey Shows Springfield Divided Between Citizens And The ‘Stakeholders’ That Benefit From Their Replacement, summarizing this presentation in the September 23rd, 2025 City Commission meeting.
There's a Project 2051 website: https://future-iq.com/project/springfield2051-2025-2026/
It's a 100% invented project thought up by the Usual Suspects and financed from all sorts of places through the Springfield Foundation. This is how the City does things. They have the Springfield Foundation do it. Outsource to other companies, of course. Field Trips, etc. But the unnecessary, meaningless bullshit because money needs to be burned (use it or lose it) goes through the "nonprofits".
If the state sent $100K for this and the city sent $50K, I can't imagine how much the nonprofits are paying.
Their goal is 1,000 surveys. This involves the entire area/county, not just the City of Springfield. 130,000 people in the county, so less than 1% response. This goal just reinforces the FACT that this project's goal is not to involve citizens at all. They are meeting with nonprofits and small businesses that are 100% dependent on our taxpayer money. That's who they want to hear from. Citizens aren't even an afterthought.
The Future IQ Founder and CEO is IN AUSTRALIA. He flies in one week a month for this. As of November 2025, he has updated his LinkedIn page to say he's from Minneapolis as well as his DavidBeurle.com contact page WITH A PO BOX. Check out his About page for the complete picture of bullshit. None of his "world renown" is true. Check out his YouTube channel he's had for 12 years. The integrity!!
Heck and Flix are on the Steering Committee. But the City's not involved.
Tracey Tackett was gushing all over it (all you really ever need to know - she supports it, it's bad). "The citizens' voice are so important!" All while the City doesn't allow questions, discussion, interaction on any of its social media posts - or ANY relating to the city - even the Visit Springfield folks.
City Commissioner candidate Chris Wallace is all over this, for some reason. It's the first time his name has even been mentioned. He isa Board member of Leadership Clark County. All anyone needs to know. He'll just whore himself wherever he can.

My Communication Looking for Answers (as if)
My Question to the City of Springfield: On September 24th, 2025, I submitted the following questions to the City of Springfield website (where Heck continually tells us to go to ask questions any time we want to - we don't have to wait for the meetings, but also where citizens report never getting replies).
I want to know how much the contract with Future IQ is for. I realize there are sponsors, but I want to know the amount of the contract. No spin, the cost in any form - the man's travel, billable hours, lump sum payments, etc. The cost of the contract. In fact, I'd like to request the contract itself. Since I'm a person paying for it. What made Heck select an Australian for this project? There's no way it would be the cheapest option. Did he put out a worldwide RFP?
In May 2025, Heck spent $100K on a Community Needs Survey that was also outsourced. The results of that were to be posted on the website and/or social media, but they never were. How many respondents were there? I want to see the results of that survey. The number of respondents and the questions and answers. Also, to whom was this outsourced? I assume this one was just buried because of the lack of or negative responses, but why was it even done since Project 2051 was coming? How many surveys in one year? And we pay for them all.
Thank you.

Response from City of Springfield Law Clerk
Per the City's instruction, I wrote to the Future IQ Founder and CEO and the Project 2051 Westcott gal (to which I expected and received zero information (form letter from one of their PowerPoint slides). We know the Project Sponsors (shown below) aren't coughing up information and a private company has no obligation to provide financial information. But I hopefully gave him an earful about the truth of this city's division and corruption. They never responded, of course. Well, Marta sent a completely unrelated form letter, as a slap in the face.

The World -Renowned Australian's Hard Work
In September 2025, at the Clark County Commissioner's meeting, Future IQ David gave them an update, as well. He and Westcott Director gave a presentation in the City Commission meeting on September 23, 2025. Listen to the beginning of the meeting for their presentation.
At the County Commission meeting, Wilt said:
Commissioner Wilt gave an update on Springfield 2051. Springfield Rotary had a great presentation Monday. She said David Beurle from Future iQ is starting to dive into the data that is being collected. He shared a statistic regarding the question asked on the survey (How divided do you feel your community is?). He said 21% of respondents said they were extremely divided. He had never seen a statistic result like that before. Mr. Beurle also shared more optimistic things like starting to map out some of the preferred future elements and trends. Some of that was around business and agriculture.
I've said it before and I'll say it when they've spent $1 million on this stupidity, it's just stating the obvious. 21% of respondents? His audience is the dependent, the nonprofits, the leeches on other people's money. So of course that's low. The divide in this town and area is between the corrupt and the not corrupt. It's as simple as that. But this "project" is just contributing to the corrupt.
Conclusion
So the City contributed $50,000 to the Springfield Foundation and the state contributed $100,000. So this Future IQ contract must at least be $250K. Paying someone to fly in from Australia alone.
Since this "isn't the City", there would be no RFP process? So how was a dude nobody's ever heard of even in Australia be chosen? Is Westcott gal having an affair with him or something? I mean, there has to be a reason.
Google FutureIQ and you will learn the motivation for this theater. The city and county could not care less what the citizens/residents have to say.
The plan is that the current citizens all leave long before 2051, anyway.
By 2051, everyone involved will be either dead or retired off other people's money in the Maldives.
Shame on everyone involved in this. It's just yet another scam perpetrated by the City, the County, and funneled through the Springfield Foundation. They have to spend all our money somehow.
Please WAKE UP, Springfield.

All the Usual Suspects.
We're paying an Australian to state the obvious.
Anyone involved in the destruction of this town will be dead or retired in the Maldives on everyone else's tax dollars. The remaining city will be solely populated by Haitians and run by Haitians.
They keep outsourcing and giving themselves raises and hiring more people.
How many times now has Heck said in meetings, "That's a separate company. Any complaints need to go to them. We don't handle that or have data on that."
The blue and green dots say things like "Industry Focus" and "Public Spaces" and "Technology" and "affordable housing" and "youth".
