Rob Rue is Sick and Tired
The Springfield mayor is just sick and tired of being "misquoted" and called a liar. The solution to normal people is simple: stop lying. But that hasn't occurred to him.

A lot of people confound me in this city. W ho would want Rob Rue anywhere near their recently deceased loved ones? Him to be THE one to send them out of this world? I can't imagine picking out a casket with this man. But lots of people here do it. And they also don't recognize psychopaths. See Springfield, Help Me Understand.
What about having Rob Rue for your landlord? Imagine calling him at 5pm about a leak.
I've captured some of the lovely things he says in every single Commission meeting on this site.
I challenge anyone to take a quick glance and voluntarily give this man more money. And yet, the people here do. I think he'd win again if he ran. As long as Tackett wasn't in the race. Second in line for the psychopath race here.
And he's sighing and panting and groaning and stomping his feet inside his head at every meeting. "These keyboard warriors" saying horrible things online. He doesn't see that the silent majority - not the silent majority he thinks he knows - are beyond frustrated. There is no voice. We're not allowed to talk, we're not even allowed to communicate with them. There's a form you can submite to an intern on the website, but who does that? Nobody, because it goes nowhere. We have 3 minutes in a meeting to say nice things or be threatened with the police presence. We are governed by a mafia and not allowed to speak to or about them. OF COURSE, we're going to become keyboard warriors whatever change we can get.
He's called the citizens of this town liars and scumbags for years now. I think that's called projection?

Rue ran unopposed in 2023 and was "elected" with 9,446 votes. The city and county are fraught with people running unopposed in elections. It's a mystery (aka secret)!
I'm working to find the number of registered voters in Springfield but the town has a population of 58,000 (doesn't include all the Haitians and undocumented of course.)
