Disclaimer: Sometimes I use less than positive words here. Facts are facts. But opinions are solely mine. I refer anyone to the definition of the words "mafia" or "syndicate" and not have to agree that the City Manager form of government is too easily corrupted. We are not alone. i understand what used to be called the good ol' boy network, especially in small towns. Cigar bar deals. Hiring your family and friends for jobs and contracts, etc. But this isn't that. This is corruption at a criminal level. While the city sleeps and finances it.

And another thing: Every single one of these pages reads like a work in progress, because it is. I cannot keep up with the corruption. I open my laptop and within 5 minutes, I have about 25 updates to make. Please keep that in mind. I'm not AI. Yet. : ) Thank you!

Wikipedia refers to a syndicate is a self-organizing group of individuals, companies, corporations or entities formed to transact some specific business, to pursue or promote a shared interest.

The Cambridge dictionary refers to a mafia as a close group of people who are involved in similar activities and who help and protect each other, sometimes to the disadvantage of others.

The Google dictionary refers to a mafia as any organized group using extortion and other criminal methods or a closed group of people in a particular field, having a controlling influence.

Please watch the November 19, 2024 Commission meeting. (I've added timestamps for things at the link.) It is particularly informative, and the speakers are heroes. Diana Daniels, Glenda Bailey, and Bill Monaghan spoke clearly and passionately about what Rue and Heck, and frankly, everyone else currently in any kind of city or county office, have done to the citizens of this town and county. It's disturbing and heartbreaking.

And if you want to see meeting that shows just how disgusting Tackett, Brown, and Estrop are, watch their responses to a man named David Rose, who spoke about his son who was shot and killed TWO weeks prior to this June 3, 2025 Commission meeting. Some specific timestamps are 51:03 - 1:20:11 then 1:25:49 - 1:53:00. (I don't want to link to the meeting, because they move their links to Facebook eventually.)

Springfield, Help Me Understand

3,000 people just voted for a criminal to sit on the City Commission. From a Facebook account trying to remind people who Andy Rigsbee is: This is his wife's embezzlement case. HOW do you purchase ALL that on a firefighter's and CPA’s salary and not know something is going on?

From his wife's (at the time) embezzlement case: “A subsequent investigation conducted by the company revealed that Rigsbee had forged 235 checks over the five years of her employment with Ultra-Met, totaling $1,933,982.69. Rigsbee spent the money to buy personal items for herself and her family, including, but not limited to, the following: a remodeling of the family residence and purchase of new kitchen appliances and furniture; numerous televisions and other electronics; six automobiles; one sailboat and one powerboat; three motorcycles; 17 firearms; 99 bottles of wine; computer software valued at $9,000; 750 movies on DVD; multiple video gaming systems; new golf clubs and a membership to the Windy Knoll Golf Club; several trips to France, Ireland, Scotland, New York City, and Boston, which included first-class tickets, limousine rentals, reservations at the Ritz Carleton Hotel, and tickets to Broadway shows; three Rolex watches and two diamond rings; china flatware and silverware; various power tools; payment in full of student loans; payments made on several credit cards; payments for household maintenance services; and $113,071.45 paid to family and friends.” She took the fall alone though……

And the City of Springfield "leaders" have been giving him Fire awards ever since. It doesn't take a lot to figure out their thinking behind that. And Tracey Tackett loves him, which should be all anyone needs to know, really.
